Production & Post

Independent films come in all shapes and sizes. By virtue of being independent, you more often than not find yourself needing help in one department or another. If you have a project in pre-production, production or post-production, we can supply you with that help.

Arzher Productions co-founder Mike Barber has over five years experience directing, shooting and editing everything from corporate video to music videos, short films to broadcast television. Arzher Productions co-founder Christine Millan has provided her expert skills in hair and makeup to fashion photographers and models, dance performers and film sets all over the North American eastern seaboard.

Solutions

We encourage you to contact us with specifics regarding your needs. Some examples of production and post-production solutions we can provide include: Camera Operator, Director, Editor, Hair & Makeup, Music Composer, Production/Post-Production Consultant.

Camera Operator

It takes more than holding a camera and aiming it at a subject to make a good shot. A sense of frame composition, a steady hand and a strong technical knowledge of the mechanics of photography are crucial. They make the difference between a camera operator and a human equivelant of the tripod.

Director

Being the one in that chair requires more than just the desire to be the boss. It requires the ability to see the big picture as well as the little details, often all at once. It requires a superb grasp on the skills of communication.

Editor

Anyone can push buttons, but knowing how to use a piece of NLE software like Avid or Final Cut Pro doesn't make one an editor. A good editor is just as much a raconteur as he/she is a technician.

Hair & Makeup

Anyone can push buttons, but knowing how to use a piece of NLE software like Avid or Final Cut Pro doesn't make one an editor. A good editor is just as much a raconteur as he/she is a technician.

Music Composer

In our digital age with easy access to simple sequencing software and cheap music loops, it is easy to forget the art of musical composition and the value a unique musical score brings to a production.

Production/Post Consultant

To paraphrase Zen Master D. Rumsfeld: There are known unknowns—what we know we do not know—and there are unknown unknowns—what we don't know we do not know. A good defence against falling into utter chaos and confusion is someone to guide you through the murky forest of production.
